weird russian site [#]
occasionally i check my nginx logs. this time i noticed something wierd: an ip address spamming invidious API requests:
interestingly, it doesn't seem to have noticed that i've been blocking its requests lol
i investigated further and this IP hosts this website:
it seems just to be an amalgamation of random youtube videos with download links. probably exists just to get pittance in ad revenue. i also checked and from that IP there seems to be a tiktok version too with identical CSS
this is the ISP. looking it up it has a terrible reputation:
not much i can do about it, besides block. kinda shitty that these sites and isps exist though. hopefully it'll get shut down with the number of complaints it has
